Apple produced two 15 inch MacBook Pros in Early 2011. However note that this doesn’t affect all 13-inch non-Touch Bar MacBook Pro models, but rather a small number of them. This battery is designed to replace the original battery in MacBook Pro 15' A1382 models produced from Early 2011 to Mid 2012. This is because Apple has recently launched a battery replacement program for the laptop where they claim that there is an issue with its battery. If you bought a 13-inch MacBook Pro without Touch Bar between October 2016 to October 2017, it seems that you might be eligible for a battery replacement.
